ST. PATRICK’S DAY.
The committee entrusted. with the arrangements for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Greymouth are energetically working for a successful day. The lovers of Hibernian sports, pastimes, songs, instrumental music, story and Irish wit, can well be recommended to patronise their choice of the various' entertainments. The procession will leave the Hibernian Hall at 12 o’clock noon on Friday and tho usual route will be traversed. A feature, of the gathering at Victoria Park will be a living display of the shathrbk. The sports are diversified in nature and character' and the adult portion will commence at 2 p.m. The grand national concert will be held in the Opera House on the evening of Friday, March 17. The programme will be announced fully in a later issue. The ball will be held at St. Columba Hall on the same evening. To-morrow morning the men’s communion breakfast will be held at the Hibernian Hall after the first Mass, at which several important speeches will be made. Every man of the parish other than Hibernians are cordially invited to be present.
