PEERLESS PICTURES. Buck Jones in “The Big Punch” will be shown at the Town Hall tonight for the last time. The supporting pictures include a 2-reel Alack Sennett Comeay, “A Summer’s Day,” and Eddie Polo in “King of the Circus.” Sunday’s attraction is a Selznick National feature, “The Palace of Darkened Windows,’’ adapted from the novel by Alary Hastings Bradley. The story relates the adventures that befall Arlee Eversham and her aunt, while touring in India. In Benares the ladies meet the Rajan of the Province, whose polished manners fascinate the younger woman. Disregarding the warning of her sweet heart, Billy Hill, who accompanies the party, Arlee accepts an invitation to visit the Rajah’s home, “The Palace of Darkened Windows.’’ Once inside, Arlee cannot get out. A Hindoo fakir learns the facts, and advises Billy Hill, who, with a friend, Captain Falconer, of thq British ..Army, sets out to the rescue. After' many adventures they gam entrance to Hi l ' palace, only to find the Rajah has fled, taking Arlen with him. Tho story comes to a. thrilling climax, in Hie Rajah's desert camp on the banks of the Ganges. Claire Anderson is the star in the Selznick film version of the novel. Monday's all new programme. will be beaded liy Eileen Perov in ’The 'loin Boy.”
