LONDON, June 2. , In the second day of the Australia v. Cambridge match, the weather was summery, the wicket perfect, and the attendance seven thousand. Andrews and Pellew resumed their overnight innings to the bowling of Gibson 1 and Marriott. Scoring soon became fast. Andrews gave a chance to Mcßryan shortly after starting, which was refused. He brought up his fifty in sixty-four minutes. Pellew reached the half century in forty-five minutes, hitting a. sixer off Alarriott. The partnership added a hundred in fifty minutes. At fifty-seven Pellew gave a chance to Lowry. At 163 Doggaii, a fast right hander, displaced Gibson, and the new bowler scored, getting ' Andrews lege before. 4 for 177. , Ryder followed. Pellew at 76 gave another hard chance to Claud Ashton, off Doggart. The second century was hoisted in two hours. Gibson replaced Doggart. Ryder was then run out as the'result of a smart return by Gilbert Ashton.

Armstrong partnered Pellew, who at 93 was again missed by Gilbert Ash►on. His century was posted in eightyfive minutes. Armstrong, gave two chances. The weather was bright and the wicket fast, but the attendance was small when the Cambridge not outs resumed still thirty-one short of the Australians score.
