An' extraordinary scene took place in the District Municipal Court of New'York when Judge Morris openly expressed his sympathy with tenants evicted bv "grasping and gouging landlords." The judge refused to sign a warrant for an eviction demanded by a lawyer for a building construction company, whereupon the applicant said he would take the case' to the Supreme Court. Then .judge Morris stood up. removed his judical r.)ba and said: "Lee me tell, you Sir thai you can take this case to the Supreme Court of the State of .New York ox to the United States Supreme Court at Washington, or to lull."
