WOODVILLE, This Day.—About midnight the United Co-operative Dairy Company’s McLean Street cheese factory was tc tally destroyed by fire. The insurances arc £1,820 and the loss will be £ISOO above the insurance. P. AND O. BANK. DUNEDIN, This Day.—A large number of applications have been made in New Zealand for positions in the proposed P. and O. Bank and that shares have been allotted, the proportions being stated to be 80 per cent, to shareholders in the P. and O. Company, and 20 per cent, to the others. It is expected that before long branches will be established in the leading centres of the Dominion.
