BEFORE CABINET. (Special to the Star.) WELLINGTON, August 8. The Government will take the first opportunity this week of putting through the Expiring Laws Continuance Bill, which renews the protection to rentpayers till August 1921. Its Immigration Bill further limiting the immigration of Asiatics lias been finally considered by Cabinet and may appear during the week. Except for the Railway Department Public Servants will commence to receive their increased cost of living increments within' a few days, but the Raiiwaymen are unlikely to receive their share until Monday next.
