The usual weekly euchre social and dance in aid of the ■ Citizens Band, will be held in the Band Boom this evening at 8 o’clock. Notice is given in this issue that the business formerly carried on by Duncan McLean will, henceforth ba carried on in the same premises by Duncan McLean, Ltd. The Oitir.cns band want a number <>f y niths, between the ages of 15 and 20 years, to learn brass instruments. Apply band hall, Thursday, July 2Ctn av 8 p.m. The monthly meeting of the Grevmonth Lodge No.' 1233 E.G., will be held this evening and to-morrow the annual installation and investiture of officers will take place at 7 p.m. Visiting brethren are cordially invited. A benefit euchre and dance under the auspices of the Battalion Band, will be held in the Blaketown Pavilion on Friday, 30th. The proceeds will be handed to a disabled bandsman. The tickets are meeting with a ready demand and everything points to this being one of the' most successful functions ever held in Blaketown. Extra good prizes will be offered for euchre, and, as on previous occasions, arrangements for the dancing will be all that can be desired. Supper will be provided by the Ladies Committee. Admission will be : Ladies 1/-, gents 1/6.
