Keith Lambess, who rode HymettiiH and.other placed horses afc Wcstport, lias arrived in town. Lambess, who is a very capable horseman, will be riding at ICumar.i on Monday as well as other Coast meetings later. "Arlington" is too busy to-day to go into the form of those engaged in the Great Easter double, but from a casual glance at the acceptances lie still adhev>« that Kilinoon will be mighty h-ird to beat in the Autumn. The Wellington Cup dead-heater should he worth coupling with Siniarfc, Chimera and Mustard Pot in the Easier. Siis.Mioff or Arrowsmitli are no friends of ''Arlington's" for the double. ITvmeF-trn must have as good a chance as Ihe next in the E-'ster at Auckland, will: I'm Peen a good second choice. Humbug looks "the goods" in the ■C i "-'at Nov'hfivn Champagne Stakes. PiinV.i should male amends during the course of the Auckland meeting. TURF TOPICS FROM WELLINGTON EASTER RACING. (By the "Tefcriach.") (Special to Star ) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Easter racing begins on Saturday. The chief events are the Great Easter and Great Autumn to be run at Riccarton. If 'Arrowsmitli gets beaten in tlie ( Great Easter it may be by Onslaught, while Erackenlield is a handy lightweight. The field for the Autumn Handicap is weak. Sasanoff stands out alone and only his big weight should beat him.. Battle Song has been going better than over at Trentham. At Auckland Uncle Ned, last year's winner, will take a lot of beating. Hymestra, Tigritiya and Bo Peep are all well fancied. At Waipukunui Hymarty meets a very moderate field. The Or.ingi Handicap at Waipukurau is likely to go to Verbosity. There should be good racing at Feild-

ing, where the compnay in some of the races is very oven. Rod Ribbon is a big fancy for the Feilding Cup, but the field is not a weak one as it includes two Wellington Cnp dinners in Nobleman and Red Ribbon, the dual Wanganui Cup winner Client and well performed horses in Bonnie Maid, Marquetteur, Imarihbon and Moutoa Ivan ova. With the top weights at their best the race would be a most interesting one, but the Red Ribbon party are very confident, and the best of the lightweights may bo Ima Ribbon. Risingham is to be raced at Feilding and not at Riccarton. Tf he is started in the Onepuhi Hack Welter instead of the Cup he looks like adding another victory to his score of three and not out. Parorangi, who has failed when backed on several occasions, wil] be well supported in the Taonui Hack Handicap at Feilding. Sweet Mfinorv will figure in the open sprint at Feilding, and she has been well backed by people other than her immediate connections, and it will be interesting to see how she fares in open company.
