Tlie Minister of Defence has bee nadvised 'that the first portion of the 43rd Reinforcements arrived Camp canteens were placed under safely at its destination. TRENTHAM CAMP CANTEENS As from yesterday the Trentham Camp canteens wer eplaeed under the administration of the military authorities, and all profits are paid into the canteen funds and are returnable to the men through their respective units. The prices are on a par with, and in some- cases lower than pre-war rates. Civilians are strictly "debarred from participating' in the benefits of the system, which was desitrned purely for soldiers. A similar operation has been in force at the Featherston camp for some time.
