The maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 56 degrees, and the minimum 33. The barometer registered 29.51in5., and the thermometer 52 degrees. The rainfall for the last month was 9.93 inches, compared with 13.75 inches for the corresponding month !ast year. The rainfall for the past 24 hours was o.72ins. WEATHER REPORT. Greymouth—Wind, south-west, strong barometer, 29.51; thermometer, 52; tides, moderate ; bar, rough. Westport— Wind, variable, light; barometer, 29.93; thermometer, 53; tides, moderate; bar, moderate swell. WEATHER FORECAST. The indications are for westerly winds, strong to gale and backing by west to south shortly. ■ The weather will probably prove very boisterous. Heavy showers with hail and sleet at times. Snow on the high country and rivers high. Barometer rising. Sea very heavy and tides good.
