The Kahika will leave Lyttelton on Monday for Grey direct with general cargo. Upon arrival she loads coal and timber for the same port. The Karamu loads general cargo at Dunedin and Timaru early next week. The Kowhai is due to-day from Wellington. She loads coal for Miramar. The Kamo is due to-morrow morning from Wellington. She returns to the same port, coal laden. The Kini left Onehunga yesterday afternoon for Grey direct. Upon arrival she loads, timber and general cargo for Wellington. The K-.imr.na is due from Wellington and Westport to-morrow. She loads a part cargo of coal for Napier. The Kennedy sails as soon as the bar is workable with a cargo of timber for Motueka. The Waimea is due to-morrow from Wellington, Nelson and Westport with general csirgo. The Regulus loads on Monday with coal for Wanganui. Mr. 1. Gilmour has joined the Karamu as second engineer. Mr. Norman Bailos, third engineer, has gone ashore. Mr. N. Clark", third engineer on the Kakapo, has signed off the articles. His place has been taken by Mr. R. Gow. Mr. McNeill, chief engineer of the Kini. has signed off the vessel's articles, and has been succeeded by Mr.

Looney. Mr. E. R. Lowe has joined the Kamona as chief officer. Captain Barr, late Government _ Inspsctor of seamen at Wellington, is in command of the American schooner Amy Turner.

Captain J. Morrison, formerly master cf the Union Company's steamer Talune. is now in command of an American schooner. His chief officer is Mi*. P. Peldek, late of the Antiope. The steamer Stella, which left Dunedin on Friday afternoon last with a full cargo of timber for Melbourne, put into "Bluff or. Monday for shelter. Captain Hamilton reported that the Stella encountered very heavy wcvtther in Foveaux Strait, and the cabins were flooded, and the supply of meat and a proportion of other provisions were washed overboard by the heavy seas which swept the vessel. The Stella was not

damaged in any way, and she was to resume her voyage as soon as the weath er moderated'.
