Sarah Morris (Mr. Patterson), application for a. coal prospecting license of 300 acres, situated in Block 1., Reefton S.D.—Adjourned till 31st October, for applicant to appear personally to give evidence in support of application. Reefton Coal Company (Mr. Patterson), application for a tramway, situated in Block X., Reefton S.D. Mr. Phillips appeared on behalf of the County Council and Mr. Jrving. —Adjourned. Cameron Hessey and Co. (Mr. Lawry), application for protection of dredging claim at Tawhia, for 12 months.—Recommended to Minister. John Howell (Mr. Lawry), prospecting license situated at Bourse's Creek. Capleston, area 50 acres.— Granted.
Costs as follow were allowed to Joseph Gardiner against the Consolidated Goldfields in the application for the Scotia Claim: —Counsel's? fee .£7 7s, trap hire £1 10si, witness 10s, Court costs 2s. Joseph Gardiner's application for the special claim was adjourned sine die.
