THE ANZACS

AN IMMORTAL NAME. THE KING’S EULOGY. LONDON. May 1. The Press Bureau states: The King in a message Itu Brigadier-General Johnston said: “It was a pleasure to me to inspect the training units of my New Zealand troops and thus to show my appreciation of their splendid services in the great war. You are representatives in the Motherland h[ comrades whose glorious deeds on Gtillopoli, in Egypt, Palestine and Flanders have helped to immortalise the name of Anzac. From the appearance displayed by all ranks on parade, I am satisfied that you in your turn will uphold the fame of tile regiments to which you belong.”
