LAUNCH FATALITY

ONE BODY"FOUND

[per press association .]

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day

• The body of Philip Edwin Fluerty, drowned with Charles Heard, while fishing from Sumner in a launch on February 6th, was found floating near Sumner on Saturday night. At the inquest the evidence showed that the boat, during a heavy souwester, was taken in tow by an oversea steamer. Nearing Lyttelton it is understood that the fore part of the boat parted. A marine inbniry has been held, but the result, is not to hand from Wellington. The Coroner said that he would ascerain the result of the inquiry, but no doubt the parting of the boat caused tire mishap and he returned a verdict of drowned through such ari accident.
