WEEK-END RACES

There was a fair number of spectators to witness the weekly races held by Ilia Greymoutb Amateur Swimming Club at Cobden baths. The races were most exciting. The results were as follows Boys (93yds).—E. Robertson 1. A. Mundy and W. Olliver (dead beat) 2. Men’s Race (183yds), for trophy valued at £2 2s, kindly donated by Mr A, Beban —E. Wearne 1, W. Deere 2, E. King 3. It was d good race. B, Wearne swam well from start to finish, and gradually won by three lengths, two lengths separating second and third.
