POLLARD'S PICTURES
| — l -v— — i .The new programme ; presented at the Opi’era House last night was greeted by a large and appreciative audience. There are quite' a number of very excellent pictures in '.the list, but that which stands out by itself as a beautifully staged l drama is the photo adaptation of Charles Reade’s famous story, “Foul Play.” The acting 1 was superb, the mounting and stagingcomplete in every detail, while every incident of the'enthralling tale-was brought out in a vivid and natural manner. The audience sat spellbound throughout the entire three thousand feet, and at the finish testified their approval by hearty applause. The other pictures in a lengthy programme were of the highest order of merit. This mammoth bill will be repeated to-night. To-morrow night an allnew programme will be screened. The star picture is a feature drama entitled “The Girl Without a Country.” This is a tale of the Balkan war, and serves to introduce the famous Danish actress, Miss Asia Nielsen
