A HORSE TRAINER’S SAD END

Douglas Watt, a horse trainer,;and formerly a successful cross-country rider, committed suicide last night. He placed a double-barralled gun m his mouth and pulled the trigger by means of a necktie attached 'to,Jus foot. A note ,left on the table near his bed, stated : “If anybody thinks 1 or says I am a cur for doing this he is a liar, because I haven’t had a drink, but will have one in a few#minutes.” He also left a letter addressed to a man nampd Hitchcock. \ Deceased, who was unmarried, was about 36 years of age. His relations reside here.
