The Kauri Timber Company’s gross profits for the year ended August 31st were £19,726. The sum of £5,222 was transferred to the profit and loss to the contingency ‘ account, £2OOO to the log residue account, £1,322 to the Marine Insurance fund and £6,870 paid on shares held by the company in other concerns. , The net earnings were £49,758. A dividend of eight per centum for the year absorbs £46,823 and £23,179.
