The Daily Telegraph, after referring to the great interest locally and abroad in the New Zealand liqour poll and the possibility of many who willingly vote No-license baulking no liquor, adds; “Still the Prohibitionist sentiment is so strong in the progressive Dominion, that the prudent prophet will keep his prediction till the numbers go up. If absolute prohibition is to be tried, Australian opinion is cheerfully favorable to the experiment being made in New Zealand.
