BURGLARY AT LLOYD'S

ARRIVAL OF THE ACCUSED. A large concourse of people assembled at the Railway Station last night to see the three men who are charged with committing the burglary at Lloyd's on Friday the 23rd ult. The three accused, Prior, Newton and Jack were escorted overland by Detectives Mitchell (Dunedin), Miller (Christchurch), and Constable "Webb (Christchurch) who were met at the Station by Sergeant Egan and some of the local constables who escorted the accused to the'police depot where they will remain until Monday at 11 a.m., when they will be brought up at the Courthouse.

Constable'Webb returned to Christchurch by this morning's express.
