The musical event of the \\>nr will undoubtedly be the second concert given by the Greymouth i.iodortafel on the 14th instant. Successful as was the first cm cert, we are confident that it will be eclipsed by the forthcoming one, for which tinChoir has been practising assiduously for some time past. Tin- Liedorlafel will be assisted by Miss Watson of Brumierton, Miss K. Hannan of thitown, Mr P. M. Currie, the talented basso of Ahaura, Mr \V.. 11. Cadzow. the well-known tenor and Mr Chirkson, an eminent clarionet player. Tho glees, which are new and sparkling include -The Toast" 'The Homeward Watch" and 'The ilatil-- Prayer" while the quartette parry will give "In absence"--the late.-t male quartette at tin- Christchurch conipetitions, "The Chafers" ami olh.-r tuneful items. The booking already is brisK and we advise patrons to scran- their seats earlv at Harlevs'.
