Lovelorn and Zetland went seven furlongs on the sand in 1.32. Flitawny was given a mile en the ploughed track in 1.46 3-5. Husbandman and Madam Madcap left six furlongs behind them in 1.18 1-5. Silkweb took ;i tick less over the same journey. Countermine beat Tenterhook over Jive furlongs on the sand in 1.3. Ingoda flattered her friends by the way she ran a mile on the sand in 1.44. Tikitcre galloped a mile and a quarter the List mile taking 1.47. Fasnakyle ran seven furlongs in 1.33 1-5. Kilwinning and Sharpshooter took 1.32 for the same distance. Rose Noble lieal Ivora over five furlongs cut out in 1.2. Owendolina was sent a mile ami a furlong on the plough taking 2.4 3-5. Shindy and Cronstadl ran seven furlongs comfortably in 1.34 and Prim did a mile in 1.48, Guianoforte declining to start with her, but subsequently lie defeated Paragon over seven furlongs in 1.32. Formless on the sand went six furlongs in 1.17 2-5. tiring at the finish. Outlandcr beat Boutadc in a mile spin cut out in 1.45 and Passion defeated Gunboat in six furlongs in 1.17. Merry Lass went six furlongs in 1.45. White Cockade put up the best gallop of the morning running seven furlongs in 1.28. Ideate and Craig Athol sprinted half a mile, m 50 4-5.
ELLEHSLIE TRAINING NOTES. AUCKLAND. This Day. The weather was dull and cold but training operations were interesting at Kllerslie this morning. The bulk of the work was done on the course proper outside the trestles which is in good order. Maheuo and Xgapuka assisted by Apellon in the last six furlongs covered seven furlongs on the tan in 1.33. Apellon was beaten off at the finish. Tamainupo t-nsilv beat Raupnrnhn and Fuss oxer a mile in 1.51 2-5. Advocate was a length better than Kpsom I.ass at the end uf seven furlongs cut out in 1.34 Waiari and Tattoo, with Maxwell to bring them home over the last four furli<ngs ran seven furlongs m 1.32 1-5. the former having the best of a good gallop. Woodhey was pulling over Birkdale at the end of six furlongs in 1.24 4-5. Dazzling and Goldfinder were on terms over five furlongs cut out iii 1.8. After breakfast Waimangu easily beat Santa Rosa over seven furlongs j n 1.33. Maioru was four lengths in front of Aristos after six furlongs in 1.19 3-5. Celtic and I'ukenui. Sharpencl, Lady Patricia. Reservoir and U'ellcast went round the schooling hurdles in pairs fencing well. Cuiragno, Te Ami. First Barrel 1, (';iy;ilierio and Pleiades were companions round the big fences. The former stopped at the top of the hill and Te Arii fell into the water. The others jumped splendidly.
