BLACK'S POINT SUNDAY SCHOOL.

(Our Own Correspondent..) The .above anniversary was celebrated in the usual stylo at Black's Point on Sunday last, the attendance not being quite so large as usual, o\vin<>- no doubt to Die showery weather that -«evailed in the morning and evening. The afternoon was, however, fine, and a large number journeyed up from Eecfton for the service, and the church was filled to overflowing. The Rev. T. W. Ncwbold Drenched three splendid sermons, that of the morning being from the text, "Suffer little children to come unto Me," and at the afternoon service from Isaiah 61, 10, "He hath clothed mo with the garments of Salvation : He hath covered me with the robes of Righteousness." From this text the reverend gentleman preached a most stirring sermon, which was listened to with rapt attention by younc and old. The text for the evening sermon was taken from Luke 22, 31, "Though all should forsake thee, yet will not I." This was again a splendid effort, the reverend gentleman handled the subject in good stylo, and illustrated many telling lessons from this eloquent text. Special hymns were sung by the children and teachers at all the services under the leadership of Mr Green, Mrs T. Watson presiding at the organ. Several duets, solos and quartettes ■wore splendidly rendered and wore much appreciated, among which were a duct, Daintv Pansy,"" by Misses IM. "Williams and G. Rogers; solo, "God make my life a perfect life," by little Miss Hargreavcs; solo and chorus,' "Building," by Miss Gladys McEwan. This was an excellent item; duet, "Dea.r to the heart of the Shepherd," by Misses A. and L. Green; solo with chorus "I want to be there," by Miss G. McEwan; quartette, "Thine I am," by Mrs T. Watson. Miss A. Green and Messrs Green and Watson; rolo, "God will take care of you," bv Mr Green. The children were all in their new springfrocks and looked a hap"" picture, and are to be commended for their attentive behaviour and hearty singing throughout the services. The" day's collections of over £lO were in aid of the Sunday School and Library Fund.
