;(Before'Mr R.;H. Turton, S.M.) V" OJJSfME''LANGUAGE. Thomas' O l Donnell was charged with being drunk, > refusing to leave licensed premises when ordered to do so, -and with using obscene language. The evidence af Constable Davidson and Sergt. Egan went to show that a complaint had been Bent .. to the - Police Station about 3.30 p.m. on the previouk day, which caused them to go over to Gobden, where they met accused on the road near the quarry with his wife . and h man named' Power. Accused was • drunk and his wife was attempting to get him to go, home, but he would not. When the Sergeant and • Constable went to the Cobden Hotel, accused followed them and asked for a drink, and was refused one by Mrs Healey, daughter of the licensee, who said he was in" a very excitable state and . the worse for drink, eo* she ordered him out and when he refused to go, the Sergeant and-Constable told him to go, and subsequently pushed him out, when he used the: obscene language mentioned in the charge. • Inspector ;Black Raid he had been reliably infof-med ■ i .that accused had been spending a ;lot of,-money in drink, over £IOO since February, and he asked his Worship to jissue a prohibition order. In answer to the usual question, whether lie would consent to an order being issued, he ;Baid he. had to do work at the two hotels', which were his property, and an order would prevent his going there; - !
