While .Smith, manager of Kempthorne, Prosser’s Burnside, acid works, was supervising the manufacture of superphosphates, the staging gave way, precipitating him into a vat. By the assistance of workmen he clambered out. Though Smith suffered severely from shock, no serious result is anticipated.
