The supposed insurances amount to about a third of the value. A PROSPEROUS COMPANY. WELLINGTON, This Day—The Directors of Renter's Telegram Company have declared the usual dividend for the halfyear at the rate of five per cent p« annum. The total reserves aniout to £73,130. The value of freeholds of the Company is £45,899; cash in hand and bills receivable and investments stand at £92,492. BODY FOUND. WELLINGTON, This Day.—The body of a man about forty years of age, was found in the harbour to-day. The corpse is apparently that of a seafaring man, and has been in the water for some weeks. THE OIL 150 RE. j NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. —Tenders were opened for 380 preference shares in the Petroleum Company. Applications totalled 676, the highest price being £lO 12s 6d and the average about £9 The bore still looks well. __ rT T T HE DIVORCE COURT. WELLINGTON, This Day.-In the Divorce Court to-day. decrees nisi were granted in the cases of Charles Wood v „!?'?. lerc sa Wood and Frank Barley v. William John Mannering v. Martha Manncring and W. J. Newman.
