Franco supports Britain in her Note to China, insisting that a danger is caused to tho Chines national credit by any tampering with the Customs. Germany at first condemned and then approved of the edict, and has now reverted to her first attitudo owing to the representations made by German bondholders of Anglo-German loans, the security for which is the Customs.
