LIVE STOCK MARKET

At the Arahura saleyards yesterday the yaring consisted of 90 fat cattle and 250 fat sheep and lambs. There was a good attendance, including a number of northern buyers. The quality of the stock was prime. Prices for beef were on a par with late rates, whilst sheep and lambs were a shade better. Prime bullocks sold from £8 10s to £6 15s; heifers, £4 to £6 10s. Fat sheep.—lss 6d, 16s, and a few extra heavy at 19s. Lambs.—lls, 13s, 13s 6d. and 14s 6d.
