(From our own Correspondent.) SUPREME COURT SITTINGS. Nelson, This day. At the Supreme Court this morning William 11. Brewer pleaded guilty to the Parapara Gold Robbery, and was admitted to probation for twelve months, and ordered to pay £ls towards the cost of prosecution. The case against' Croucher, who plkded Not Guilty, is now proceeding, tke accused being defended by Mr Hayes, ofTakaka. James, for robbery from Haases Hotel at Takaka, was found guilty, and sentenced to twelve months imwas found guilty of assult, and sentenced to one month in. Nelson [it will be remembered that a few months ago Howard escaped from custody in Nelson, made his way toColllngwood, and was recaptured here by Constable Foley, and taken back to Nelson. No' extra punishment was inflicted on the prisoner for escaping.] ANOTHER FIRE. The. Custom House Hotel and the Union Company's Offices at the Port were destroyed by fire this morning.
