AMT UNION PROCEEDS £IO,OOO FOR UXEAiPLOYAIEXT (Pei ureas Association* Wellington, April 11 The Minister of internal Aif airs, discussing the various allocations of the Government, announced that the finest colection of kauri gum specimens in tile world, at present owned by Air E. O. Peat, of Auckland, are to be acquired by the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum with an allocation of £3OOO from the pro•eeds ol the Great Easter art union.. Unemployment relief organisation throughout the Dominion will benefit to the extent of £ 10,000 from another llocation of art union proceeds. Five children’s health camp organisations : ir e to receive £SOO each, the Central )uvgo Goldminers’ Prospecting Associations £ISOO and the United Fire fti-igad'es’ Association of New Zealand has been applied toward meeting the expenses of tli e annual conference.
