KILLED INSTANTLY
DEEP. STALKING TRAGEDY (Per Press Association.) Hamilton, April 10 Mr John Fitness* agent for the Farmers’ Auctioneering Co., was fatally shot yesterday. A party comprising deceased, his wile «,nd his sister-in-law. and Mr Bert Alberts, were deerstalking on Auckland road at Matamata, when the gun his sister-in-law. Miss Zita Craves, was carrying exploded when she slipped while crossing a swamp. The charge entered Mr Fitness s back and lie was killed instantly.
