STREET DIRECTORY OF 50 YEAIIS AGO Recently a Wellington suburban street ;lircciory of 3882 was recovered from tile debris at a lire at Upper Mutt. The directory reveals that between Stokes Valley and Pakuratalii river at Kaitoke there were fewer than 1000 names, whereas the main roll of the Upper Ilntt. borough contains to-day 012 names in the West War 1 and 100. Sin the East Ward. The first, electoral roll of Upper J lntt Town Board, made in 100 S. contained 141 names. There were only about 4000 names in t.lu* Wellington Vity street directory in those days, whereas the present roll contains upwards of 80,000-
