PALMERSTON PICTURES REGENT THEATRE Mariano Dietrich, Herbert Marshall, Cary Grant and Dickie Moore all act magnificently in “Blonde Venus,” at the Regent Theatre. The leading characters are a research chemist- suffering from radium poisoning, hi s wife, and their small son. The mainspring of the plot is that- the chemist will die unless he can obtain a cure costing an inordinate sum of money. Excellent, featurettos. PALACE THEATRE The all-star cast of “Tho Fires of Fate," an adaptation of Conan Doyle's famous novel, at the Palace Theatre, includes Kathleen O'Regan, Fester Matthews, Dorothy Bar!lam, Jack Raino and Donald Calthrop. Six Sudanese soldiers employed in native parts proved to be the most, remarkable natural actors ever seen, \\ hen told to imagine that, they had been shot in battle, they flung themselves into (ho. air with a savage abandon. ROSY THEATRE There is something- about a m\story drama that holds tho imagination of every member of the family. Much, speculation, will result in attempting the solution of the crime in “Jack O’Lantern.” Patrons of the Kosy Theatre are promised stirring entertainment, with Arthur Wonfner in the leading role.
