CHINA AND .?ARAN ARE NOW USING MORE According to reports received by tlic Australian Woof Growers’ Connell. lhe prospects of increased wool consumption in China are encouraging. Two big rug factories in Tientsin have commenced to use Australian wool instead of Chinese. The chairman of the Australian Wool Growers’ Council, Sir Graham Waddell, said the report afforded further support for the belief that the consumption of Australian wool in the East would continue to grow. The increase of the Japanese demand for Australian wool since the war lias been phenomenal-—Japan’s pun liases were now more (ban -900.- < .00 bales a year, making her Australia’s second largest customer. Now was the time for the appointment of I a direct representative of Australian industries in the East.
