Ho was taken to hospital. Eye say that- the machine got out of control after a. loop. DETAILS OF ACCIDENT “When tho crash came SquadronLeader Findlay v.u s acconipaniod by Leading-Aircraftsman Sinipsen, who also, had to bo sent to hospital with head injuries. SHADOW OF DEATH Both had an amazing escape from death when the dual Grebe aeroplane dived nose first into to ground near the aerodrome from an estimated height of COO feet. The ’plane is a complete wreck, tile fusilago being .smashed in half and the engine driven back into the front seat. OFT OF A .LOOP The machine got into difficulties after coming out of a- loop. The nose tilted downwards and the machine foil in zig-zag fashion to th» ground. Both men were conscious after the wreck. A MYSTERY No explana-ticn can be given for tho accident.. Experts believe that something must have given way while the machine was in the air.
