There is no evidence that Malone ever preached violence or carried ii rea i n is Mr Thomas dismissed the matter ! with a laugh.
THE ARREST Malone, an Irishman, was arrested and remanded iu custody on a charge ol vagrancy The police said that he attended the Workers' Economic Conference at Ottawa and intended to assassinate Mr Thomas, when visiting Hamilton on Saturday.
