MEETS THE SALVATIONISTS Per Press Association. Palmerston X., March 23. General and Airs. Higgins arrived from Auckland at Z o'clock this morning and were accorded a rousing reception from Salvationists. As they stepped off the train they were met by flip Mayor and .Mayoress, with the district officers of the Arm y. THIS AFTERNOON At noon the Rotary Club, the Lun. cheon Club and the Chamber of Commerce gave them a luncheon. Thi,s afternoon a civic reception is being held, to he followed by a big gathering of Salvationists. THIS EVENING To-night representatives of the Army from outlying towns will meet with masspd hands (including Feilcling’s), contributing one of the most notable gatherings of the Salvation Army in the history of the city.
