MRS GILMOUR INJURED

IN A MOTORING ACCIDENT HAPPENED NEAR SAX DON (Per Press Association). Palmerston, Feb. 15. Shortly before 6 o’clock on Saturday evening a motor accident occurred on ibc main- highway near Sandon, resulting in serious injuries to Mrs C. Gilmour, of Langston Avenue, one of the city’s most talented musicians. It appears that on finishing her performance at the Rosco tea rooms, where she is engag'ed as pianist, Mrs Gilmour left by car to visit her friend, Mrs Ken Bailey, of Sanson. The driver of the ear was Mr B. C. Waldegrave, of Palmerston. When about a mile from their destination Mr Waldegrave endeavoured to avoid a cow on the road. The car, however, skidded in some loose metal and turned over down the bank. First aid was rendered at Mr Railey’s and then the sufferer was removed by ambulance to the general hospital, where. she is in a serious state.
