MISHAP TO MOTOR TRUCK DRIVER PINNED UNDER (Per Pre*p Association). Taurauga, -Feb. I*2. While driving a. motor truck \ploiiging to the Tauranga County Council, g. Onrisbv had a narrow escape from drowning at midday yesterday. As Mr. Ormsby was turning the truck oil the bank of the M airoa river the brakes failed to hold near the edge of the bank and the* vehicle slowly slipped into the river and. then somersaulted, pinning him under d water. By a great effort he got out. He was almost exhausted.
