PACKING PARLIAMENT
As not a few of the extreme Labourites in New Zealand, especially those who think trades unionism is tnm ( ». and out of date in their scheme of democracy swear by Premier Lang and set him up ini oa little tingodship, it is interesting to note the. inner mechanism and methods of Langism. Sydney papers ju«f. *0 hand contain the names of the 23 men and two women whom the Lang Cabinet appointed to the Upper House in ordi.u* to force through the working charter of Lnngism. Nearly all those now Legislative Councillors are presidents or secretaries of Labour Union;. Notorious Communists are included in the appointments and men who have won fame as Domain so/apbnx loraf irs. whilst yevernl others are members of what is known as the inner group of the Trades Hall which lias boon directing and dominating even Premier Lang himself. To-day the Cppor House of N.S.W. has HO members. What extravagance in government !
