Sir John Luke announces his intention of* standing- again for the Wclligton North seat. Rev. T. 11. Rosevcare, of Papatoctoe, has been apjiointed the first. A. Burling, late of Oroua Downs, which occurred at Wellington at the age of 69 years, removes one of the most highly respected settlers of the Manavatu district, lie leaves a widow and four sons, Ernest George. (Hastings), Norman Gilbert (Sydney), Lionel Arthur and Cyril (Oroua. Downs) and four daughters, Mrs Gates (Oroua Downs), Airs ,F. T Pederson (Feilding), Airs Osborne (Glen Oroua), and Airs Shailer (Manawatu Heads),
