HOW YOU CAN HELP
To Relieve the Distress
WE MUST NOT HAVE COLD AND HUNGRY CHILDREN IN THE FEILDfNC DISTRICT
Appeal is made on behalf of the Feilding- Distress Relief Committee for gifts for the relief of the distress of Feilding- and district families who
are suffering Owing to the depression and the lack of employment for the breadwinners. The Committee will appreciate donations in the form of—
Vegetables, Meat, Groceries, Clothing-, or Material to be made up, Firewood. These gifts may be left at Messrs. Barraud and Abraham’s depot in Fergusson street, or will be called for if a message is left.
At the present time it is estimated there are between 20 and 30 families, including; many small children, in Feilding and district who really need this help, and the number w-ill probably increase during the next few months... No mother or child of Feilding must he allow - ed to go cold and hungry; Prompt help is asked. With reverence it may he added—“He that giveth to the poor lendeth to the Lord.” And—- “ The Lord lovelh a cheerful giver.”
