Amidst cheers from his Ministerial colleagues and members of all political parties in the House, heads or departments, well wishers, representative citizens and private friends, the Prime Minister, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, departed for Auckland by tonight’s Limited express on the first stage of his journey to the Imperial Conference in London. The Govern-or-General was represented at Thorndon station hv Lieut. Elworthy, and tlie Mayor (Mr G. A. Troup) represented the citizens of \\ ellington.
