A group of Chicago’s wealthiest citizens, disturbed by the comment that s being made all over the world on the seriousness of Chicago’s financial flight, has agreed to raise amongst themselves 30 million dollars as a temporary loan, to the city, exclusively for the purpose of paying the wages of municipal employees, purchasing coal supplies for the hospitals, public institutions and maintailing other absolutely essential services.
