Scotland Yard viia.s organised an elaborato system ol police posts, similar to the post office kiosks, but blue instead of red, apd labelled “Police.” ■ When the system is J'ulJy established in London the public will in. stantly l>e able to get ir,i touch with any subdivisional stations' and summon a. body ol police and a twenty-lmrse-powor van to any place in the metropolitan area within five min utes. ■; Tp to 20 police and detectives will ho available. The van contains a steel-lined cell and first aid appliances.
