Another extension of the frnvel •facilities for the general public is announced by f,he general manager of railways, Mr H. H. Sterling. Tip to the present the issue tickets and the reservation of seats and sleeping berths have been restricted to a period of 14 days preceding the day of travel. This restriction will be removed from to-day. Prospective passengers on ordinary trains or bplipay, excursion, or other reduced Fare trains will he able t° g c t their tickets and seats or berth reservations at any time before the day of travel. How great will be the reduction of the excursion rates will bo found in an advertisement on Page 7 of to-day’s Star.
