A business-like start was made by the reparations experts meeting in Paris.

The committee, alter unanimously electing Mr Owen Young, the American, as chairman, settled matters ot procedure.

Deputy points disposed of, M. Moreau briefly presented the Frencii viewpoint in regard to the committee’s task, and thus its labours began. It is expected the inquiry will be prolonged.
