Imports increased by £15,070,000 and exports hv £7,137,000, whilst rc-oxpxorts decreased by £4.00,000.

The principal increases in the imports were grain and flour £1,176,000, meat £1,194,000 food and drink nondurable £3.037.000. raw cotton £7,012,000.

Tiie principal increases in exports were iron and steel manufactures, .•£1,103,000, of which vehicles covered .£1,023,000, and cotton yarns and manufactures £013,000.
