Perrett. CORRESPONDENCE From tho Rangitikei' County council inviting the council to appoint delegates for a further conference relative to 1/bo Rangiti'kei aider bridgo at Bulls. REGISTRAR OF DOGS Air \V. Bony was appointed Registrar of dogs and the fees for regis tration was lixed at 2s (xl for sheep and cattle dogs and 10s lor all other dogs. RATES COLLECTED During the month rates paid amounted to £1998 and there was outstanding £2574. Arrears of general rates paid during the month totalled £B2. The 10 per cent pen alty would accrue on Miirqh 11. TRAMWAY REPORT The chief items of traffic for the month were* Grain 18 tons, minerals, and manure 210] tons, general merchandise 38] tons, stock 76 trucks, metal 645 cubic yards, wool 254 bales eggs 173 ' crates, timber 2,250 sup. met. Fares amounted to £1 4s sd. The aoebunts showed a. debit balance of £lOl 11s 5d for the month's working. . THE RATE ROLL The following alterations were made on the rate roll: O. 10. Sanson to A. E. McLean, section* 71 Taingimoana extension ; A\ r . A. NatoTuei and A. H. AAtodhsnng to AY. A. Natzke, sec. 202 Carnarvon and 357 Carnar von. TRA FFTC IN S RECTOR The traffic inspector (Air AA . Berry) reported: I have interviewed the owners of properties where trees are obscuring the view of motorists approaching at cioss roads, and they are all willing,t 0 cut them back so as to give as clear a view as possible. I would suggest that the council consider the advisability of erecting the signs, as provided oy the regulations under the Motor AThicles Act, at the cross loads on the main highways. . This would act as a warning to motorists to look out for traffic approaching from a side road or main road as the case may be. Four persons were before tlie Court at Bulls, on Saturday for breaches of the motor regulations, and fines ranging from 15s to 30s and costs were inflicted. Since last council meeting, building permits to . the value of £636 7s were applied for and fees amounting to £2 were collected. Fines amounted to £8 at the Bulls Court.
