At a meeting of the Swamp Development League the chairman, M A. M. Bisley, said the time was favourable for pressing for the development of the extensive Woodlands swamps north-east of Hamilton as itlie new Government 'was seeking the best opportunities of land seirlejnent. The scheme would he the beginning of a development of swamp areas in the vicinity of Hamilton and railways, totalling about SO,OOO acres.
